PUBLIC spending will have to be cut after the general election, regardless of which party wins power, shadow chancellor George Osborne said today.
It was an attempt to undercut Gordon Brown's talk of a choice between Labour investment and Tory cuts. Mr Osborne said the real dividing line in British politics was now between honesty and dishonesty.
