ITN in £250m ITV news deal

ITN has secured a new £250 million, six-year deal to produce news for the ITV network.
But it also said that an as yet unspecified number of its 800 staff would go in "operational areas", not in news coverage.

Chief executive Mark Wood said that as part of the deal ITN, which is partly owned by a number of news agencies, would invest £15m in new technology.
