Councillor offers praise for Poles

A NORTH Edinburgh councillor has welcomed the contribution made by Polish people to the community in places such as Granton, Pilton and Muirhouse.
Forth councillor Elaine Morris met members of the Polish community at Royston Wardieburn Community Centre and said: "I was impressed by their attitude to work."

Big deal! If I could work abroad and earn big money and get the government to send money home to my children I would consider it. However I live in the softest touch country in the world so why move?

Lets perpetuate the myth that they do the jobs no one else will do, shall we?

nothing about the overloaded schools,doctors,hospitals,housing etc, or the vast sums of money they return to their homeland, or take with them when they leave,or the wage rates they undermine

So, they undermine wage rates by presumably undercutting an already low rate yet still have "vast sums of money..."? Brilliant! Get a grip!
