THE Homeless World Cup is set to create a permanent £1 million HQ and training base in Edinburgh.
Organisers are searching for a suitable site for the complex, which would include at least four "street pitches" and a training centre for referees.

The Capital has staged the event once before, in 2005, and Scotland won the tournament in Denmark last year.

Mel Young, the event's Edinburgh-based founder, said: "The project is at a very early stage, but I wouldn't think it would cost anything more than £1m to deliver."
