Laura Baxter, 26, a trainee teacher from Meadowbank, chooses her favourite places to buy unusual gifts.
Helios Fountain, Grassmarket This place is like a treasure trove, and you can find something for everyone here.

Bliss, Broughton Street They have a lovely selection of baby and children's clothes.

One World Shop, West End of Princes Street They have some beautiful gifts from around the world, and yummy Fairtrade food.

Studio One, Stafford Street I love their cushions and quirky glasses.

The Bead Shop, Dean Park Street It's nice to choose beads here and make something myself. That way I know it's really unique!
