Roger Brady, 28, a sales executive from London Road, lists his top five places for brunch in the Capital
Diner 7, Commercial Street. This is a small place but it's nice to be down at The Shore. You can relax in a window seat reading a paper or watching the world go by.

Urban Angel, Hanover Street. This place is always packed but it has great healthy food – it's nice to feel virtuous after a night out.

Bijou Bistro, Restalrig Road. This place is tiny, so come early to get a seat. It's the only restaurant in this area so it's a great find.

Peckham's, Bruntsfield Place. This underground restaurant with its fairy lights and dark red colour scheme is the most dramatic of Peckham's various branches.

Smoke Stack, Broughton Street. This is a handy site which does a good old fry up and a strong cup of coffee.
