Michael Romer, 60, who runs the Peter Green wine merchant on Warrender Park Road, picks his favourite places to enjoy a drink in Edinburgh.
The Filmhouse. It does nice wines by the glass, or you can share a bottle with friends.

The Traverse. You can go and see a play and then it's always nice to come out and discuss it over a glass of wine afterwards, or even have a glass in the interval.

La Garrigue. They do great French cooking and I've had a lot of nice food and drink there.

The Argyle. It's my local! The Argyle has carried on serving the needs of the community for years, and it's still a nice friendly place.

The Spiegeltent. It's a shame this one only comes out during The Festival.
