Plant some quick-sprouting seeds Your children can then feel connected to their healthy, home-grown salad as well as enjoying a botany lesson!
Draw birthday cards Make sure that you can provide good quality paper to honour your child's work and so it will stand up well when folded.
Tell stories from your own childhood As well as being more engaging and expressive to hear, it helps children to develop listening skills and memory.
Get busy in the kitchen Nothing tastes better than home baked bread or biscuits so encourage your children to join you in the kitchen. They will feel a great sense of accomplishment.
Go for a walk When was the last time you went for a walk at your child's pace, rather than at your own?
