High 5: Ann Georgeson
Ann Georgeson, 56, a housewife from Lochend, names her top five views in and around the Capital.
1 Calton Hill. The view from the top is unbeatable. You can see all the iconic buildings – the Scott Monument, The Balmoral and best of all, the Castle.
2 The Pentlands. It's relaxing to go up in the Pentlands, let the city get out of sight and see nothing but the green fields and sheep.
3 Edinburgh Castle. The view from either side of the Esplanade is worth seeing. On a clear day you can see across the Forth to Fife and from the back there's the iconic view of George Heriot's.
4 Arthur's Seat. From up here you can see the whole city stretching in front of you. It can be a bit of a hike but it seems justified when you see the view.
5 The Tower restaurant, Museum of Scotland, Chambers Street. If you get the right seat it's a nice place to see the Castle lit up at night. A bit pricey but good for a special occasion.
