HIBS today announced a price freeze as they revealed Mixu Paatelainen's stars will play in an all-yellow away kit next season.
The new strip goes on sale from May 21 but fans can pre-order, either online or from the club store, from today with the guarantee the kit will be delivered to their doors on that date.

The Le Coq Sportif gear, which won't be available from any o
ther retail outlets, is made of high-performance breathable fabric and prices have been frozen at last year's level, meaning shirts start at £24.99 (child, short-sleeve) and £34.99 (adult, short-sleeve).

A feature of the new kit is two bands of green and one of black which run down the right shoulder of the shirt and onto the shorts and are also included on the socks.

Midfield star Ian Murray was on hand to unveil the strip which Ian Spence, Hibs director of marketing and communications, predicted will be highly popular with supporters.

He said: "Our fans expect Hibernian kit to be stylish and high quality and I am confident that, with Le Coq Sportif, we are meeting those aspirations. Strong emphasis is given to the Hibernian green colours along with black through asymmetrical detailing, which is carried through the jersey, shorts and socks. No matter what angle the player is seen in action, the kit will look different due to the attention to colour detailing. The kit will be unmistakably Hibernian's."

Saw the strip online and in the paper version of the paper and have to say it looks very smart indeed.

#1 I disagree ;-)

Sorry #1 but I can't agree. It's far from smart in my view.

If hibs.net is a guide then Ian Spence clearly wouldn't know style if it bit him on the bum. They suggest that he and his team don't listen to the fans.

Another "giveaway" surplus looming just like allegedly happened with the current season's black number if what I'm told is correct.

No offence #2 but you would disgaree with yourself if you thought you'd get a decent arguement with yourself from reading many of your previous posts on here lol!!

#4 I'm quite reasonable!!

Anyway, i've not even seen the new Hibs strip - I don't have the huge fascination with your team that certain hibees have with us - but i'm assuming it's similar to the last yellow one you had that made you look like stewards.

And that is NOT a good look!

Just checked it out on the hibs website (will probably get sacked now) and I was right - it's not good.

Mainly because I hate strips that are not symmetrical and have one sleeve a different colour from the other.

But also because it's bright yellow.

And it's modelled by Iain Murray.

Apart from that, it's not too bad!

To show my reasonable side, I don't like the current Hearts strip as it's too fussy.

I must say it's not to my taste. The yellow would look good, but it the green and black stripes? I don't understand them. Maybe thats what the kids want these days.

#2, 5 & 6 - For someone who does not have a huge fascination with Hibs, you sure have posted alot on this Hibs story? and log onto Hibs official site.

Are you a hobo in disguise?

Don't like it. Our away strip should be white IMO, or at least have green shorts (harks back to late 70's, early 80's).

As long as we win, don't really care what we wear, as long as it's not maroon. ;-)

#5 was just messing with you.

I happen to like the kit thats all. Although you do realise logging onto the Hibs Website means you will get emails from them all the time now lol!

#10 Just doing some, er, research and, believe me, i've wiped the Hibs website from my list of sites visited.

Was just curious to see the new strip as I am with every new strip that comes out.

Have to say i am not keen on the yellow at all. Never have been.

Would have stuck with the Black and would have loved a return to the white with green shorts!

Still have to say I have never seen a better strip than that of the 2001/2002 season. Classic Strip, Still would look good today.

#16 All white, with a bit of green piping.

We wore in the final against Celtic, they beat us 3-0. Gloriou sunny day it was.

This new away strip is rank! Nice to see the designers have just went away and designed one without consulting what the Hibs fans would actually want! Absoultely minging!
