Polyclinics 'not a cure for NHS'
GOVERNMENT plans for "polyclinics" will not ease pressure on NHS hospitals, a new report warned today
Polyclinics are designed to bring together groups GPs with a range of services, such as diagnostic testing, minor surgery, blood tests and X-rays.
But today's study, from the King's Fund, concluded the super-surgeries will mean patients are forced to travel further without seeing any improvement in care.
