AN Edinburgh doctor has been shortlisted for a prestigious award.
Dr Ian Pollock Sword has been nominated for the Scottish Enterprise Life Sciences Awards 2009 under the category of 'leading individual contribution to life sciences in Scotland'.

The Awards aim to recognise the groundbreaking work carried out in Scotland throughout 2008.

Meanwhile Edinburgh firms Alba Bioscience Limited and Charles River Laboratories have been nominated under 'leading contribution to life sciences in Scotland', as have Touch Bionics, of Livingston.
