Google goes for Gates' throat

SEARCH engine Google is to launch free software for companies, putting it in direct competition with Bill Gates' Microsoft.
The firm is to add to its search and communications business with an entire software package. But Google's Dave Girouard stressed that the firm was not trying to "eliminate any [rival] applications."
