50p salary for Google chiefs

INTERNET search giant Google paid its three executives salaries of just $1 (50p) last year, according to its latest accounts.
But chief executive Eric Schmidt and co-founders Larry Page and Sergey Brin have seen the value of their shares grow five-fold since flotation and are now worth just under £16 billion.

However, the accounts show Mr Schmidt's "other compensation", was £281,331 while Mr Page's hit £18,626.
