JIM LISTER tried to get into the action early on but his header from Nicolson's corner in the ninth minute sailed over the crossbar. Minutes later, a shot from Brown from 20 yards was deflected and Carlin had to look lively to tip it on to the crossb
ar. Star opened the scoring in the 39th minute when Roseburgh found Meaney on the edge of the box and his shot flew past Carlin into the roof of the net. Two minutes before the break, Fraser Love was red-carded for a rash tackle. Nicolson was carried off 12 minutes after the break with ligament damage and was replaced by Easton. Newtongrange doubled their score in the 69th minute when Thomson unleashed a drive from 30 yards and it screamed into the Thistle net.

A real thriller of a game with seven goals, two penalties, seven yellow cards and one red. Bonnyrigg went two up through Sean Paliczka and Sean Grady. Paddy Flannery headed home to reduce the deficit at half-time. Charlie Brigain scored a third for Bonnyrigg but Flannery replied from the spot. A Steve Graham own goal made it four before Flannery completed his hat-trick to end the scoring.

THE visitors looked the more likely side early on and Gordon Herd missed their best chance when Fleming parried his 18-yard shot to safety. Kelty came to life in the second half but chances were few and far between. Indeed, Linlithgow should have wrapped up the points with the last kick of the game but Coyne saw his lob drop over the bar.

BO'NESS UNITED won a convincing victory against ten-man Lochee, to maintain their place at the top of the Super League. Two first-half Paul Shields goals sandwiched an own goal by Greg Kirk and Stuart Abbot's red card. Jason Alexander pulled one back for Lochee in the second half before Derek Fleming and Nicky Walker completed the scoring for Bo'ness.

Whitburn 4 Glenrothes 1

AN explosive last five minutes saw Whitburn add three goals to a Colin Strickland headed effort on the hour to secure all three points. Gregg Meikle had opened the scoring for the visitors with a ten-yard shot midway through the first half. Sub Ian McSween made a massive impact in those closing minutes, setting up two goals for Strickland and scoring himself.

ARNISTON left it late to grab a winner. David Morris scored a super solo goal after 73 minutes with a 25-yard sizzler. Then, with three minutes to go, Ballingry were back in the game when James Fraser equalised. However, Arniston got the winning goal when Trialist No.2 played a one-two with Morris before rounding the keeper and rolling the ball home with the last kick of the game.

DARREN MOONEY put Penicuik ahead with two goals in four minutes. The first came directly from a corner kick, and the second from a free-kick. Kenny Martin got one back in the 32nd minute. In the second half, Kenny Martin completed his hat-trick in the 66th and 77th minutes. Fauldhouse substitute David Connell scored the goal of the game in the 81st minute to complete the scoring.
