FALKIRK will be hoping to get over the disappointment of missing out on a top six place in the SPL by beating relegated Gretna at home tomorrow.
The Bairns have already defeated the troubled Borders club twice this season but have since become one of only four clubs to have suffered defeat at the hands of the basement side when the teams last met at Fir Park in January.
Manager John Hughes
is not expecting an easy game tomorrow, despite the current uncertainty surrounding the future of the opposition.
"Gretna will be battling hard to win this one," said Yogi, "as their players will be wanting to put themselves in the shop window with their own individual futures in mind, but we will be looking to win every game between now and the end of the season.
"I've said all along that we want to finish as high in the table as possible and, as such, we want to be the best team in the bottom six.
"It would have been nice to finish in the top half of the league but it wasn't to be. Now we have to focus on retaining seventh place as, the higher you finish, the more cash you receive and, from a budgetary point of view, our finishing league position could have a significant bearing on the funds available to me to restructure my squad for next season.
"I'm not necessarily planning a major clear-out but I want to bring in one or two new faces so it may be necessary to move some players on. In addition, I've got six guys out of contract at the end of the season and I accept that some of them might be assessing their options.
"I might blood one or two promising youngsters either tomorrow or in the games which remain but if I do it will be on a gradual basis – I won't be making wholesale changes."
Striker Michael Higdon is nearing a return but Dean Holden and Tim Krul are still out.
