WITH the final deadline for the Evening News Business Excellence Awards fast approaching, companies across the Lothians are being urged to ensure they get their entries in for our eighth annual showcase.
The response this year has been superb, with entries flooding in from progressive businesses across the region, and judges confirming they are of a high standard.

Partnering the Evening News for the event at Our Dynamic Earth on Friday, April 15
is Scottish Enterprise Edinburgh & Lothians, with software giant Microsoft the main sponsor and other backers coming in the shape of skills and training provider learndirect Scotland for Business and Edinburgh Chamber of Commerce.

Entrants will get the opportunity to follow in the footsteps of previous winners such as The Witchery, Channings Hotel, Edinburgh International Conference Centre, Montpelliers, BAE Systems and Intelligent Finance.

There are three categories for "best performing businesses" of less than 25 staff, for 26-250 staff and for over 250 staff.

Other categories include: innovation and creativity; e-business; most entrepreneurial young company; business in the community; international business; and excellence in skills and learning.

The final submission for completed entries is next Wednesday at 5pm.

Entry forms can be accessed and downloaded online at www.edinburghnews.com/bizawards or are available by phone from KL Events on 01698 459966.
