Swiss to allow mentally ill to take own lives

Switzerland: A ruling by the country's highest court has opened up the possibility that people with serious mental illnesses could be helped by doctors to take their own lives. Switzerland already allows doctor-assisted suicide for some terminally ill patients.
Peru: Indian leaders and activists have criticised a decision to open up oil exploration in the jungle. State oil company Petroperu opened an auction last month for rights to 18 oil fields, seven of which are located in areas home to isolated jungle tribes.
