DJ mixes it down under

AN Edinburgh DJ who taught himself to mix tunes on his home computer has just completed a tour of Australia and New Zealand.

Chris Elliott, 26, of Bruntsfield, taught himself how to mix and create his on tunes using simple laptop-based music production programs.

After completing a BA in music production last year at Leeds College of Music, he has enjoyed a fast rise in the electro music scene on the back of internet sites such as Facebook and MySpace.

He is set to play in Ibiza, Malaysia, San Francisco and Canada later this year.
