A DESIGN student has won first prize in a prestigious international competition.
Edinburgh Napier University student Andy Murray took the top honour in the D&AD Student Awards in the Product Design: Furniture category.

Mr Murray, 22, was the only Scottish student shortlisted for the international design competition for students, out of more than 75,000 entries.

Mr Murray said: "I am thrilled to take the top prize when you look at some of the other fantastic designs that were shortlisted."

Alex Gilkison, head of School of Arts & Creative Industries at Edinburgh Napier, said: "Andy's achievements are fantastic and a testament to the great work going on throughout the Creative School."
