EDINBURGH Zoo is set to get another high-profile addition to add to its list of attractions – but the latest acquisition won't be in a cage. In fact, the new arrival isn't even an animal.
Instead, a giant Scrabble board will be installed at the zoo to celebrate the popular board game's 60th anniversary.

The seven-metre tile rack will challenge visitors to decipher animal-themed conundrums and anagrams and will be unveiled tomorrow.

Zoo spokeswoman Maxine Finlay said: "We're delighted that the Scrabble team chose to visit Edinburgh Zoo.

"The event is a great way for children to enjoy word play and to continue their learning about the animals we have here."
