A LIVINGSTON road bridge is due to undergo a two-week programme of essential repairs.
Maintenance work is set to begin on Saturday, July 5, on the Almond Valley Bridge, which carries the A899 Livingston over local roads and the River Almond.

For safety reasons, the southbound side of the A899 will be limited to one lane for the duration of the project, which will allow repair of the bridge deck surfacing, installation of a new bridge joint and maintenance of road drainage to be carried out.

Signs will be placed notifying the public of the bridge works.

Again with the repairs. Is it beyond the engineers to do the job on this bridge properly with workmanship that'll last a few years?
