A GHOSTLY torchlit procession will take to the city streets tomorrow in a celebration of the very first Mary King's Ghost Fest.
A host of famous characters from Edinburgh's dark past - including Mary King and Burke and Hare - will march from Castlehill and down the Royal Mile on Sunday night at 9.30pm, to the eerie tunes of a ghostly piper.
The procession will finish at West Parliament Square where the characters will retell the stories of how they met their fate.
Karen Baron, marketing & PR manager for Mary King's Close, said: "The festival has been very well received by visitors and has been a citywide success. We are pleased that by working with partners across the city we have encouraged new visitors."
