A BID to erect a canopy outside a city centre building has failed.
Prestonpans Trading was told by the city council it couldn't create the canopy at the Blair Street property.
Now an appeal to the Scottish Government has also failed.
In making the decision planning reporter Dannie Onn said: "Even if painted a more subdued colour, the canopies would fail to preserve the special interest of the listed building and neither preserve nor enhance the special character or appearance of the conservation area."
