Eagles to fly in for Tattoo

THE Edinburgh Tattoo will have a few new elements next year.
The 150-piece Golden Eagles university marching band will fly in from Missouri for August's 59th Tattoo.

Singapore is also to provide performers: a detachment of Gurkha pipes and drums, a police military band, an all-woman police pipe band and an animated act reflecting Singapore's cultural roots.

Tattoo producer Major General Euan Loudon promised "a cosmopolitan flavour" to the show.
