A SUBMARINE, warship and landing craft could all be moored in Leith as part of a new military history museum with the backing of Sir Sean Connery.
Plans to establish Scotland's first museum specially dedicated to the country's military history are reportedly being drawn up by Military Heritage Scotland. It says it hopes it could rival London's Imperial War Museum.

The multi-million pound museum would also feature tanks and fighter planes alongside its waterborne attractions.

The project has also won high-profile backing from a charity supported by Sir Sean Connery. Friends of Scotland, based in New York, has made a £1500 donation to help get the early planning stages of the project off the ground.

A War Museum for Scotland about time, will they mention that the first enemy aircraft to be shot down over Britain during the Second World War was in Scotland it came down in the Pentland hills - of course everyone knows that.
It`s never mentioned during any Second World War documentary - wonder why?
