THE flume at Leith Waterworld has emerged as the most likely leisure facility in Edinburgh to be closed due to staff illness or absence.
A request made under the freedom of information act revealed the flume has shut down ten times since 2004, for up to eight hours at a time. It closed for seven hours on March 9 this year, while Glenogle Swim Centre also shut for an hour in January.

Last year, the Leith Waterworld flume closed three times, the pool shut for eight hours in February and the Leith Victoria Swim Centre gym closed for four hours.

This has to be the most boring piece of news I have ever read. Its very rarely that I ever make comments on the news like this, but I am basically mailing this from the grave because it has actually bored me to death. Thanks for killing me.

Make a good site for yet another five star luxury hotel and mixed development. So close to the shops, the Scottish Office thousands and ON the TRAM line. Snap it up someone.
