POLICE believe thieves stole a high-value sports car after following the owner home.
The black BMW Z4M was taken from the driveway of a home in Burnbank, Straiton, in the early hours of yesterday morning.

A police spokesman said it was thought the car was "targeted" and the thieves had followed it to the address from where it was stolen.

He said: "We urge the public to be extra vigilant with regards to where they keep their car keys within their home.

"Most people tend to place the keys in close proximity to the entry doors of their homes and this obviously makes them readily accessible to thieves."

Seeing as many drivers never use their mirrors anyway, it's hardly surprising that they are unaware they are being followed.

As for keeping your car keys on a hook beside your door, that is totally brain dead.
