Serious accident closes city street

A SERIOUS car accident closed Minto Street this afternoon.
Police cordoned off the street after an accident involving a red Volkswagon Golf near the junction with East Mayfield.

It is thought the vehicle was involved in a collision with a pedestrian.

The car had several dents and a smashed windscreen.

Police are investigating but would not comment on any injuries.
