POLICE have today released details of a serious assault in the early hours of last Saturday, which left a man with fractured bones in his face.
A 44-year-old man was chased and attacked by a group of men as he walked towards London Road Gardens from the Royal Terrace/London Road area at 3.15am on June 28.

When he reached the upper part of London Road Gardens he was punched in the face and ran away. As he did so he heard one of the group shout "get him" before being tripped up and kicked in the back.

A passing motorist stopped to help and the attackers ran off along Royal Terrace in the direction of Regent Road.
