VEGETARIANISM could be part of the solution to climate change, according to the director of the Science Museum in London.
Professor Chris Rapley advocated vegetarianism as part of the solution to climate change as he was presented with the Edinburgh Medal at the McEwan Hall last night.

The former head of the British Antarctic Survey received the accolade at the Edinburgh International Science Festival for his work on climate and climate change.

The Edinburgh Medal was presented by Lord Provost George Grubb, who said: "Edinburgh has a long and illustrious scientific tradition and is home to many imaginative thinkers who daily change the way we see the world."
