THE body of a man believed to be from the Edinburgh area was found in a tent in Perthshire on Friday.
The man, who is understood to be in his 30s, was found at Ballintuim Caravan Park, Blairgowrie, at about 9.30am.

He was discovered by a member of staff at the caravan park who alerted the emergency services.

Ambulance staff attended and the man was declared dead at the scene.

A Tayside police spokeswoman said: “There are no apparent suspicious circumstances. It appears the man arrived at the caravan park two days previously.

“The cause of death is currently unknown and a post-mortem will now be carried out.

“We are not ruling out the possibility that the man committed suicide. However, he was found with insulin on him which may also suggest he succumbed to a diabetic coma.”

Officers are trying to trace the man’s next of kin.
