A CHAPLAIN is due to arrive in Edinburgh today on his 600-mile cycle ride to support a children's charity.
Moray Thomas, 55, aims to travel from London to Edzell, in Angus, in seven days to raise more than £5000 for the Children's Society.

The chaplain, from Goodenough College, London, will be cycling up to 100 miles a day with five of his colleagues.

He said: "I have never done anything quite as big as this before but I'm really looking forward to the challenge and arriving in Scotland knowing I have made a big difference to thousands of children. I think next year I'll be volunteering to help in the support vehicle rather than the actual cycle."

Becky Block, of the Children's Society, said: "We're extremely grateful to Moray and his team. I wish them all the best of luck, and I know how much the thousands of children that will benefit from this donation will appreciate their efforts."
