CLYDESDALE Bank is to axe 35 jobs in Scotland as part of a cost-cutting exercise which will see 90 jobs lost across the UK.
The bank, which is owned by National Australia Bank, said it would restructure to create 41 new positions, including 23 in Glasgow and Clydebank.

Chief executive Lynne Peacock said: "We are a strong and resilient business but are always thinking about how we can do things better and more efficiently."

It is not known whether staff at the bank's Clydesdale Plaza on Lothian Road will be among those affected.
