Google casts its web wider with Chrome

GOOGLE has launched its own web browser to challenge Microsoft's Internet Explorer and ensure easy access to its search engine.
The free browser, called Chrome, was due to be available for downloading today in more than 100 countries for computers running on Microsoft's Windows operating system.

The California-based company is still working on versions compatible with Apple Mac computers and the Linux operating system.

Internet Explorer is used by about 75 per cent of web surfers.

Oh brother what a choice for privacy: Microsoft or Google! I suppose that any other browser offering additional privacy features is to be applauded given that web browser's record every single link that you follow, every picture you see, every site you visit and a list of the last 10 to 20 web sites to which you have been. #1 - and this is a problem?

The browser stores your history on your PC. If you want to, IE gives you the option to delete it at will.

You know where you've been, why is it scary that your browser does too?
