EDINBURGH law firm Anderson Strathern has announced the promotion of nine staff to associate, and seven to senior solicitor level.
The firm's managing partner, Robin Stimpson said: "We are very proud to be promoting some of the many talented members of our team here at Anderson Strathern.

"These promotions clearly demonstrate the range of services and the depth of skill we a
re able offer to our clients."

Appointed are: corporate associate Ewan Regan; employment associates Debbie Fisher, Claire Hendry and Chris McDowall; dispute resolution associate Catriona Watt; senior solicitor Judith Bryce; land resources associate Graeme Reid.planning & environment associate Sarah Baillie; private client associates Alec Stewart and Victoria Simpson; senior solicitors Margaret Ross and Martin Campbell; commercial real estate senior solicitors Peter Smith, Jill Turnbull and Sheelagh Cooley; and banking senior solicitor Andrew Foyle.

Henderson Loggie Financial Services (HLFS) has announced the appointment of David Legge as a consultant. Mr Legge worked for PriceWaterhouseCoopers before moving into a specialist role working with Self Administered Pensions. Prior to taking up his new post, he worked for James Hay Pension Trustees. Managing director of HLFS, Jim Wilson, said: "David's specialist knowledge in pensions will be a great asset to our clients."

McGrigors has appointed property finance expert William Greig as a partner in its Real Estate Finance team. Mr Greig, who joins from Field Fisher Waterhouse, will be based in McGrigors' London office in the firm's Banking and Finance team. He will focus on developing business with the firm's key real estate finance clients and bring further strength and depth to the team in London, which now comprises four partners and 15 lawyers. Michael Watson, head of the Banking and Finance team, said: "We are delighted to welcome William to the firm. He has a strong track record in property finance matters and brings another string to the bow of an already successful team."
