The following business news is expected tomorrow:
• Housebuilder Persimmon is due to post an update on its current trading performance, amid the turmoil engulfing some of its fellow builders. Taylor Wimpey said last week it would axe 900 jobs and close 13 regional offices, while Barratt Developments has also indicated to staff that around 100 jobs will be axed. Persimmon has already said sales were down 24 per cent at £1.37 billion in the period between January 1 and April 24.

• Business Post, PartyGaming and Dunelm are also lined up for updates.

• There are no major economic announcements expected.
