THE following business news is expected on Monday:
• Cairn Energy, the oil and gas explorer, is due to unveil its latest results for the full year to the end of December. The company is expected to move into profitability, although the £34 million sale of a section of its Bangledeshi operation that is part of its Capricorn Energy subsidiary will contribute to profits growth.

• In a busy start to the week, final results are also expected from Alexon, Tawa and Kentz, while interim figures are due from St Ives, James Halstead and YouGov.

• Consumer confidence figures are also due to be published.
