ABERDEEN manager Jimmy Calderwood is desperate to reach a Hampden final for the first time in his reign at Pittodrie.
Calderwood was recruited from Dunfermline Athletic by the Dons in summer 2004 and tomorrow his team face Queen of the South in a last-four Scottish Cup clash at the national stadium. He said: "A final has eluded Aberdeen for eight years.
It is not that long, but the fans expect to get to finals just like Rangers, Celtic and probably Hearts do as well. We've had a decent spell here and it would be great to put a bit of icing on the cake by winning the cup."
