These guys show such disdain for their customers that I predict they'll be the ruling group on the Council by next year.

Those two are really a pair of cowboys. I spent a good three months trying to get refunded my deposit. I even talked directly with Mr Simm and found him to be aggressive and for want of a better word; a cretin. I eventually got it all back after numerous promises by them and countless excuses. Their staff were plainly as unprofessional and ignorant as Mr and Mrs Simm.

How nice to see this firm in such a predicament.
What goes around etc...

Wow...shocking.

I actually rented a van from this company a while back, and had no problems at all. Clearly, I was one of the lucky ones.

I hope everyone manages to get back all the money they are owed. If criminal activity is found to have taken place, then the authorities need to come down hard rather than let those responsible walk away and start trading other another name.

I had huge issues with these guys last year - I never got my deposit back either. I wrote a letter but stupidly never sent it. Is it too late to do anything about it?

This is unbelievable, is this the same firm who were caught clocking cars and vans?

I'm no expert, but if a company's gone bust I think you can forward your claim to the Receivers, (the company instructed to wind them up). (Which may involve some internet or even newspaper searching.) I don't think there's a time limit, within reasonable bounds.
Their assets,(if any) are then divided among the people they owe money to, so you probably wont get all you're entitled to. But good luck anyway, I hate these rip-off merchants.
Possibly other posters can give more accurate advice.

On behalf of all your customers Mr Sim, Get It Right Up You. Dont go blaming Mr Mcsweeny for your company wrong doings. He was just your puppet. I geniunely hope you get whats coming to you.
