I am disappointed by so much prejuge coming from a professional journalist. Imagine the same article but about African Art.
Fear and generalisation are the basis for racism. It is terrible that your newspaper contribute to it. I am a Christian and I value our Moslem sisters and brothers as equal promoters of peace and understanding.

i am glad the discover islam changed the reportes view of muslims. from what i am aware the opinion he had when he went to the mosque is only held by one or two members of society. this man obviously lives in the newspapers and has never been to the real world. i am glad he has decided to step out now and learn more for himself.

I do agree with Laurent about the prejudice which is shown; however Mr Hennigan does state in the last paragraph 'You will emerge from the exhibition a wiser, better-informed person'. It is such a pity that he did not put the positive aspects of the last two paragraphs at the beginning of his feature and only used the 'offending paragraphs' about his expectations (If indeed they were called for) later on in the article, to highlight the benefits he obtained from the visit. So many people are working so hard to build up Inter-faith relations with our neigbours, that an article like this can only generate more ill feeling in the way it is written.
