#1 - With nearly £100m spent and b##ger all to show for it I think the taxpayer already is paying for it.

Excellent letter about the Velodrome, Peter.

I hope your views and the views of the cycle groups will be fully represented on the working group that's being set up to discuss the future of Meadowbank.

Aye, this is the guy who having married a Ukranian girl found the need to visit that country four times, on council business of course, and knock up a mobile phone bill of almost £1,000 while expecting the good citizens of Edinburgh to pick up the tab.

Oh, and also another juncket to China.

Mr Hastie - spot on, once again. Just a shame that the majority of our elected members (MSPs and Councillors) do not have the same common sense.

Save Meadowbank Campaign has always included the velodrom as part of the site so naturally we want to save it too. What we don;t want is a sell off of the land for houses.

Hmm ...,

... the Greens don't approve of EARL because they think it will just encourage more air travel.

These people don't have the sense to see that EARL would actualy encourage train travel because it would be another Edinburgh railway station but with good parking to enable train travellers to take their suitcases to the station without having to heave them on and off buses. Or they could even take the airport bus to the Airport station.

What losers they are!
