He was born in it LOL. The flats were only up about 40 years!!. I was brought up in the square where stans front door is and its sad to see it go. Lots of good memories.
Should have known the Postman always knocks twice.
Poor old Stan,Will he have to pay back dated rent.
Eviction,Very easy,Send the Pooclaimers along,Tennants would run 500 MILES.
fair play to the auld guy!but aye,as #1 says,i was under the impression these flats were built in the 50s/60s so someones got their maths wrong
What a Donkey.
Early morning call at 0900.......jeez the day is half gone by that time in the morning for most of us
#4. A little more sympathy please. The guy has lost his home. You probably won't like being a victim of "progress" when you are old.
#6Isn't Muirhouse just like little Bosnia or something like that, so progress is good.
does it matter if muirhouse is like little bosnia or not?? this man has lost his house, regardless of where it is.
Although much of Muirhouse needs flattening, I think the way they treated this guy like a criminal is bang out of order!
I hope he is rehoused in a decent area.
#2 don't you mean the postman doesn't always knock twice.
Stan deserves better treatment than what has been doled out to him so far. When you get to his age peace and safe sleeping are at a premium!. Progress is a two edged sword and we are seeing one of the losers being used as a speed bump on the road to it{progress}. Council must educate their negotiators to present more attractive moving packages to their unwilling constituates. It seems its all over for Stan now, let's see the council act with more heart than it has shown to date and get Stan relocated to reasonable area to live.
