BOOKIES are offering punters in Edinburgh the opportunity to bet on snow falling in the city on Christmas Day for the first time ever.
Betting shops have been offering wagers on a festive freeze-out in London for decades, but now Ladbrokes are now giving their customers prices on a furry of flakes in their own postal district.

And for anyone convinced they can make some money on a White Christmas in Edinburgh, their price on snow in the EH postcode is currently 5/2

For a bet on a white Christmas to be landed, a single snowflake must be recorded to have fallen within a postcode area during the 24 hours of Christmas Day.
