A NEW programme for the under-fives will be launched at the Edinburgh International Climbing Arena on Saturday.
The programme is part of Edinburgh Leisure's drive to help children across the city get active from an early age.
Children will be able to try out a range of activities new to the arena from 10am to 4pm, such as mini kickers football, tots' tennis, creative dance and the mobile climbing tower. They can also take a turn on a mini bicycle track.
Healthy goody bags will be available for all children and Spiderman will be making a special guest appearance scaling the walls and aerial assault course in the arena.
Manager Graeme Gardiner said: "The open day is great opportunity for families to get involved in new activities and see what a huge range of soft play and specialised classes are available to children under five.
"Taking part in regular sporting activity strengthens bones, aids co-ordination, concentration, balance and flexibility, reduces body fat and helps to promote regular sleep patterns."
