Dover: A cargo ship had to make a sudden turn to avoid colliding with a cruise liner with 1700 passengers aboard, an accident report said today.
The Grand Neptune made a 360-degree turn to avoid the 85,000-tonne Italian liner Costa Atlantica in the Dover Strait in May, the Marine Accident Investigation Branch said.

• Hereford: A terminally ill teenager who refused a heart transplant has been granted her final wish – a holiday in Disneyworld, Florida.

Hannah Jones, 13, who has leukaemia, said she was "delighted" that a UK company was to provide her with travel insurance for the trip next month.
