ST MIRREN boss Gus MacPherson will decide today whether to hand new signing Ian Harte his debut in the Homecoming Scottish Cup at Motherwell tomorrow.
Former Leeds full-back Harte joined the Paisley club yesterday after being released by Blackpool.

MacPherson said: "Ian will train with us and then we'll make a decision after that if he goes into the squad for Motherwell or not." Motherwell manager Mark McGhee is expecting a tricky game against traditionally difficult opponents.

"We took four off Dundee United and last season we took five off Dundee United," McGhee said.

"We did the same at times with the likes of Aberdeen but we have never managed that against St Mirren.

"So it's always been really, really close games and I don't expect it to be any different."
