DUNDEE UNITED defender Paul Dixon has laughed off comparisons with Stoke long-throw expert Rory Delap.
The 21-year-old left-back has shown himself to be United's secret weapon this season, with massive throw-ins into the penalty area.

The tactic helped the Tangerines score against Rangers last week and will continue to be a potent weapon in their
armoury.

Dixon, who is poised to start against Hibs tonight, laughed: "I wouldn't go as far as comparing my throws to Rory Delap's.

"For a start, he throws it further than me and can put it right on top of the keeper. I can throw it far, probably to the near post, but he's something else." Meanwhile United boss Craig Levein wants his side to perform as they did in the 2-1 defeat to Hibs at Easter Road back in September – but this time he wants a win.

He said: "The best we've played all season was the last time we played Hibs at Easter Road. That shows how crazy this game is because we got beaten that day to go bottom of the league and since then we've been on a good run.

"I'd like to play as good as we did in Edinburgh this time round and, in all honesty, we probably need to put in a really good performance to win this game. Hibs are a team full of talent so we don't need any reminders of the threat they pose."
