Laszlo: Nade is Hearts' model pro

CHRISTIAN NADE is now one of Hearts' most professional players according to manager Csaba Laszlo, who is preparing to play the reformed Frenchman against Airdrie United in tonight's Co-operative Insurance Cup tie.

Laszlo will rejig his side this evening to give game time to players who have so far been used only sporadically, if at all, in the first team.

Nade is in contention to start having impressed the manager with his dedication to getting fully fit.

The striker has lost weight since last season and now spends long hours at Riccarton striving to hone his talent. Laszlo stressed that he is setting an example to others at the club.

"At the moment Christian Nade is one of our most professional players. He stays on the training field and takes time to improve," said the Hungarian as he emphasised his contentment with the first six weeks of his Hearts tenure.

"I am so happy about my team at the moment," he continued. "They understand what I need, what I like. Mr Romanov calls me and tells me: 'Do it, make it'.

"This is important, to have the protection and to feel it.

"At the moment I am very satisfied. I am unhappy about a lot of things but not unsatisfied.

"We have other players like Jamie Mole, Christophe Berra and Michael Stewart, all who are growing into the team. In six weeks we have had great development. This is what I need."

Calum Elliot has departed for a six-month loan at First Division Livingston, but other players in contention to play this evening include Ruben Palazuelos, Eggert Jonsson and Deividas Cesnauskis. Hearts hope international clearance will arrive in time to allow the Hungarian goalkeeper Janos Balogh to make his debut, although that looked doubtful this morning.

The 25-year-old is in Edinburgh on a six-month loan from Debrecen and is determined to secure the No.1 slot. "I know there is competition there but if I get the chance I will use it to be number one," he said.

"I will work in training to show I am a good goalkeeper. I have confidence and a responsibility to myself."

Balogh claimed that an unnamed Italian club had attempted to sign him last season. "There was a Serie A club interested but I did not have an agent at the time," he said. "The two clubs could not agree because Debrecen wanted a big sum."

Meanwhile, Hearts reserves drew 0-0 with an experienced Rangers side at Murray Park yesterday afternoon.

The Ibrox outfit fielded Charlie Adam and Christian Dailly in their starting line-up but Hearts threatened first when Craig Sives went close only to send his header wide from a couple of yards out.

Jamie MacDonald was on hand at the other end to deny efforts from Rory Loy and John Fleck before Juho Makela passed up a late chance.

If Csaba can get Nade fit and interested then he deserves huge respect.

"Mr Romanov calls me and tells me: 'Do it, make it'"

Love it....just keep it that way, Vlad.

We can only hope because Nade has talent and could cause defences a lot of problems. However, I am not convinced he is a good finisher.

A fit Nade would be a welcome bonus to what has been a promising start to the season. He is obviously still carrying weight but still one of the most skillful at Tynie as you will have seen on Saturday when he left a couple of defenders standing with a great touch and cross which Audrey could have done better with.

Simple arithmatic is not a speciality of the flairmeisters.
Perhaps when they go through the turnstiles it clicks round three times when their arms are dragging on the ground.

No Scarlet Pimp today?

Hibs played some smashing football last night, thats a given.

As for Nade...

Looke to have lost a hell of a lot of timber. Have a feeling that Nade might just play a part for the JT's this season - you know the feeling, its similar to how the Morton players felt last night sharing a beer with old Brines.

27

DalryHearts,

24 - agree with your comment still seems to be carrying far too much weight for a pro footballer. I think if/when the pounds are gone (hopefully), there could be a potentially good pairing between him and Glen. Nade to cause trouble for defenders with size, strength and touch to create chances for Glen who on the evidence of last seaon could be the most natural goalscorer we currently have.
28

Chas Niceass,

27/08/2008 13:18:20
Is Glen likely to feature this evening, he seems to be slipping off the radar again along with McGowan.
29

Who?,

27/08/2008 13:20:47
Regarding Nade's weight- it might be better for him to stop doing weights etc that increase his upper body strength- he looks a naturally strong fit guy. Instead he should focus on running and bike work (not in a leith sence) that way he will slim down, increase his stamina and speed.

Anyway looking forward to the game tonight with (hopefully) a few goals. Would be nice to see Rapnik given a start along side Berra and Glen (if fit) start up front with Nade- could be a good combination.

the anti-hearts brigade are not happy, they have many questions they need answered...

why is nade screwing the nut?

why does stewart now enjoy going to work?

why haven't berra, driver and kingston been sold yet?

why are lightweights like ivaskevicius and elliot not in the squad anymore?

why was the manager allowed to bring his friend in as his assistant?

why was the manager allowed to bring in a hungarian goalie and a ugandan attacking midfielder of his own choice?

has the circus left town ? if so, whatever will biley, sergey, plumt1t, big kenny bawjaws etc. do with themselves ?

i fear some self-harming.

Went out into the garden last night at about 10 o-clock for a fag and was met by this enormous groan from over the rooftops.
It sounded like the noise of a distant thunderstorm and was clearly the collective pain of thousands of people being expressed simultaneously.
It made my blood freeze just to hear it.
Did anybody else around my way experience a similar thing?

I'm not sharp so i will be blunt.

Gypsy is not an insulting term. Many people would proudly classify themselves as gypsy travellers, romany travellers ect. Its about ethnicity, culture and background.

The insult comes from the context not the term e.g Irishman or jew are not insulting terms, but if derogatory streeotypes are added then offence can be caused.

Hope that helps to sort out any confusion.

My local cooncil are always moanin about them in the local rag so that must make them all racists as well.

#69 Originally Roma people, but under U.N Convention you don't have to be a "race" to be protected against racism. They would consider any legitimate ethnical groupings as being equal in the law. Romany gypsies, Irish Travellers and other travelling people ect would fall under this protection.

Every one of us has prejudices. Fact of human nature. The problems arise when people get together and start openly sharing these rather than examining on a personal level why they have them.
Ignorance and prejudice, like water, take the pass of least resistance. Might start with a wee joke but who knows where it will take some individuals.

#71 It can be both. In fact racism tends to be offensive 100% of the time to most fair minded people.

Were you at home around 10:15 tonight, along with the rest of the big team/big crowd? If so, you would have heard the sound of a huge number of people's sides splitting. The ERI will be in for a busy night of stitching.

Like I said we are far from the finished article, but we have absolutely nothing to fear from a far more inferior hibs side.

And the spanners are out the tool box i see from the hobos above. Had a feeling things would go a bit t!ts up in this one. Cup game at home against stuffy defending and pants finishing we need a striker badly and fast before it catches up with us in the proper tournaments in this country, not the micky mouse variety.

Have to laugh at these hobo fools, their team are absolutely mince, losing 4 goals at home and on the slide to division 1 under the main man mixu. Keep it up if things are how i think they will pan out the hobos are for the drop and HMFC will celebrate by probably winning the Scottish Cup yet again, similar to 97/98 season haha

Always want to win but really it aint much of a cup so no great loss and again we can learn from these types of defeats as long as we get it right eventualy, which Csaba will with a few new additions.
Bit more worried about the Hamilton match now mind you but should still be good enough to score at least 1

#131 And once again a poor deluded yam proves the extent of his teams ambition by stating that success is measured by their relative position to Hibs. They'd rather that we were relegated than win the league themselves.

You must be so proud that 10 man Airdrie didn't manage to penetrate your defence during a whole 2 hours of play.

And I hear Vlad has demanded an inquiry into the referee after he awarded Airdrie 4 penalties in one game.

139 Eh?? why would Hearts measure anything against the hobos relative position? Hibs are mince always have been in my lifetime and hibs are an embarassment to the Lothians quite frankly and your brand of hoofball will be more suitable to the Scottish 1st. Never seen a football club with as little ambition as your mob and it will end up with relegation. I will laugh at you again but where did i say i would rather hibs relegated than Hearts winning the title!! That would be madness but you lot on the other hand i would say around 97% would want hearts relagated than a title for hibs judging by the nonsense spouted by yourselfs

#140 looks like ur in for yet another disappointing season then, u cannae finish above anyone sitting in 12th position. Delusions of grandeur springs to mind.

"Went out into the garden last night at about 10 o-clock for a fag and was met by this enormous groan from over the rooftops."

Funny enough I heard a similar thing tonight down Gorgie way. Not "enormous" by any stretch of the imagination though. Maybe just 6000 groans. Perhaps it was the wee team.

SAME RULES APPLY !!!

Only reason I was down Gorgie was that i took the advice offered by Leithjambo (post #74).

Just oot the back having a post-coital fag when I heard it. thought I had better nash as her hubby would be back any minute and in a surly mood.

Still I was glad that the game went to extra time and pens. So was she mind.

SAME RULES APPLY !!!

Turmoil at tynecastle never!!
Airdrie are a huge big team!!

They were lucky? The ref was on their side?
Hearts hit the bar six times?
and hearts were down to ten players...

I laughed so hard this morning a little bit of pee came out.

So, as i was saying yesterday, you're out the cup and in swimming in debt.

Maybe you're right. either way it was a nice feeling.
WHAT DEBT? YOU REALLY MUST BE A SMACK HEAD!

It makes you feel better about how sh*t hibs are and the sh*t state of the club.

Hearts finances are under control. Accept it or continue your wet dreams!!
130

Badboy,

28/08/2008 11:03:34
Now the hearts support will realise they are not a big team,
If they were english, they would be mid table division three,
Lets take our hats off to Airdrie united, who completly done hearts over in front of 6.000 fans.
many who travelled from the airdrie.
131

Badboy,

Just read with both Hearts and Kaunas out of cup competitions...

Vladimir Romanov is ready to weild the dreaded axe again...

Could it be a recall for frail the failure. or Rix the twix? or could the wee easter egg lookalike robbo be making a return...to play this wonderful game called soccer...

Keep an eye on this here space...

Ahhhhh.....to be a Jambo.

Disappointment, even though we lasted 20 mins longer in the tuppeny cup longer than our flair esteemed rivals.

The joy of Mixu.....sex too.......not that he's getting any if the timing of his posts are anything to go by.

The love of "concentrating on the league".

The fact that we've always struggled in this cup since I was a lad and watched us in the mini league structure that meant a 1-1 draw at home to Montrose meant nothing becasue we could always beat "Stranger Dangers" at Ibrox and qualify. We never did.

Has always been thus and will always be so.
