CITY pro welterweight boxer Gary McMillan steps up in class when he faces Nottingham's Matt Scriven in a top-of-the-bill bout at Glasgow's Thistle Hotel tomorrow.
The Lochend southpaw reckons he's in for a tough test from Scriven, who gave Glasgow's Willie Limond a hard time before losing a fortnight ago. McMillan said: "I have no fears about fighting Scriven although I know he is a very tough guy."

Scriven has previously been beaten by Craigmillar's James Docherty.

Meanwhile, Leith Victoria coach Jack Graham and the club's Scottish youth light-welterweight champion Sandy Forsyth will be in Berlin next week to represent Scotland in a Multi-Nations tournament. And tonight, Leith Vics welterweight Alistair Hardie will box for a Scottish select against a Cyprus select in Glenrothes.
